Duplicate cats and the world's weirdest shower

I have a ginger and white cat. For the purpose of this blog, his name is Biscuit. I go upstairs and see that Biscuit is asleep in my doorway. But then he's also asleep on my bed; three of him. 3 of these cats aren't Biscuit; they're imposters! I need to identify Biscuit and get the others out of the house. They must have come in through the cat flap. I notice one is much more ginger than Biscuit is, and pick him up to get him out of the house. He's very heavy, much heavier than I'd expect him to be, and I struggle to lift him. I carry him downstairs. I'm now in the house I grew up in. The cat can't go out the front door, but I'm not sure why. So I'll have to unlock the back door and go through the conservatory. That's two locks to fiddle with while holding a very heavy cat. The cat nearly escapes but I manage. As he runs into the garden out of my grasp, I remember I have two cats. But what's the second one's name? Is it Gribble? I think...

An odd twist on the classic tooth dream

Last night I dreamt I removed some of my teeth and ate them. I cooked them into a meal. They were soft, and tasty. I loved the way that they looked as well; I found them really beautiful. Then I started to realise they wouldn't grow back, and I may have given myself a speech impediment. Everyone would think I was crazy if I told them what I'd done. I felt like I wanted to talk to someone for help but didn't know how to confess I'd eaten my own teeth. I couldn't explain why I'd done it. Did I think they'd grow back? I also had a horrible nightmare where my husband died in a fire. Not a good night for dreams.

Bird slippers

I'm living with my sister, who's still a child. Her latest toy is some slippers that are also a seagull puppet. They interact with the Nintendo Switch to be part of a pet-based video game. I go to bed, but am disturbed by the noise of my sister and the seagull puppet. It's nearly midnight so I go to tell her it's too late to be making all this noise. But there's an NHS physiotherapist with her, looking at her feet. The puppet slippers are part of the physiotherapy. That's a valid reason to be making noise this late. The bird puppets are now green and are characters: The main bird is named Lairy and she also has a chick. I wonder why she's called Lairy and if it's an American pronuncation of Larry, but that's still odd for a female character. I leave to go back to my room, but the slippers are on my feet now and come off in the mess and boxes of my room and someone has to search for them. I ask if I've caused a nuisance and am told "a bit...

A slightly disturbing adventure

Two dreams to record here. The first is short, the second is longer and contains some disturbing content.   Dream One: I have to sit a maths exam and an English exam. Both are very short on a very small (less than A5) booklet of paper. The last question in the English exam is about the Illiad. The maths exam has the following question "Greg has some tattooes. Does Greg have more than one tattoo?" and then tick boxes for yes or no. Others seem to have found this difficult but I found it easy. Dream Two: I am in some kind of art exhibition with an old school friend. For part of it, you can get on a boat and sail down a river of paint to make tracings of certain pictures on the walls. It's going to fast for me to really look at the artwork. We accidentally go around a second time and find there is different artwork. When I get off, there is a curator standing at the door, along with Benedict Cumberbatch. He is completely covered in tacky blue paint, including his eyeballs...

Scissors tell me I am asleep

I have a lot of dreams in which I realise I'm asleep. They usually make a little more sense than this one, though. I'm sitting in a kitchen at a breakfast bar. I remove a blanket from myself and get up and start talking to my mum. I tell her I think I might be asleep still. She says I'm awake, but I don't believe her. I spot a pair of scissors next to a vase of flowers. The scissors have been used to cut the stems. I reason they must be quite sharp, and in reality I'd be able to feel that or even hurt myself with them. But in a dream I wouldn't feel the right amount of pain. I pick up the scissors and press the blade into my palm. I can feel it, but it's not sharp. I definitely couldn't hurt myself with them. So I am dreaming! I tell my mum I am defiintely asleep "in that chair" and point to the chair I got up from earlier. Again she denies it. I tell her, pointing at her, that she only exists in my head, so if I know I'm dreaming, she kno...
